HOW TO INTERPRET Rx

How to interpret an eyewear prescription:

Sphere Cylinder Axis
OD: -400 -125 x180
OS: -500 -200 x180

OD means right eye
OS means left eye

“+”Sphere means farsightedness
“-” Sphere means nearsightedness

Cylinder means amount of astigmatism

Axis means the direction of astigmatism, in this case both eyes have horizontal directions
